Class 7 - Intro to Your Client Module

Welcome to class seven in the Better Impact Academy!

Join us for Class 7 in the Better Impact Academy series, where you can learn how to use the Client module effectively.

Below is a video and some frequently asked questions to set you on your way.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I limit access to client information to specific staff members?

Use a limited admin role, that prevents access to the client module. Administrators with that role will be able to access data specific to the module in their role.

How many clients can be connected to a volunteer and vice versa?

There is no upper limit of client >< volunteer connections within Client Impact.

Can third party organisations refer in clients to our account that are unable to fill in an application?

That is not supported in Client Impact. In these cases, consider creating the profile yourself and adding extra detail through custom fields where required.

I have fields that are used to collect volunteer data that I want to collect for clients. How can I achieve this?

Simply edit the module for the existing field and select the client module. You’ll then see it within client profiles. There’s no need to create a new (duplicate) field!

I need to track the amount of hours that clients have received in service time from volunteers. Is this possible?

Yes! Just create an activity that reflects the service given to the client, associate the client profile to the activity and have volunteers log hours as usual.

I see there is an area to add client reporting fields. What are they?

These are fields that you can create for volunteers to complete when they interact with a client they are connected to. They allow for standardised data tracking across your client base, but remember: they are not connected to hours worked, which is a separate logging action.

We have clients that receive different services, how can I ensure the fields volunteers complete to document their work are different?

Just create feedback fields to collect specific service detail and associate them with the activities that volunteers work.

What is the best way to share client information with volunteers?

Use the ‘notes for volunteer’ page to share such information with volunteers which can only be accessed through logging into their profile at MyImpactPage.com. Using e-mail for this purpose is not recommended, nor is adding client data to the pre or post assigned description sections within client activities.
